7:12 am!

Hey Everyone!

I finally found some free time & energy to make a post. There is a lot to say in not a big way. Does that make sense? If not, then oh well. If so, then great!

Okay, so as you read from my previous post. I have a new baby cousin! His name is Tristan. =) The story is quite funny. He came 4 weeks sooner than scheduled. What a sneaky little fellow! Well, my mom thought that my stepdad told me about his birth yesterday morning (he was born at 7:12 am) but, he didn’t. He thought that she told me. So, there was a BIG miscommunication there. So, I didn’t learn about his birth until 6 pm by whom, his father. -.- He called asking to talk to my mom about the birth of Tristan. This is what the conversation constituted of:

Uncle: Hey! Shana? This is Pascal, Is your mom there?

Shana: No, she’ll be home in about 30 minutes. Want to leave a message?

*Mathilde (other cousin) cries in the background*

Shana: Ohhhh what’s going on? You pinching her butt?

Uncle: Hahaha no, she’s crying because she wants her mom.

Shana: She running behind at work?

Uncle: No…she’s at the hospital. =|

Shana: What? What’s wrong? Is the baby okay?

Uncle: Shana…. You didn’t hear?

Shana: Oh my god! The baby died?

Uncle: Well, last I heard he was breathing and crying his heart out. Shana…Tristan was born this morning.

Shana: And no one cared to inform me? Oh gee…Now I remember why cell phones and parents exist.

Uncle: *chuckles*

Shana: *frowns*

We pretty much finish our conversation at that because Mathilde was getting out of hand. I can’t believe the miscommunication. =
Like, I would be upset that I got phoned during class for the terrific news. Psh.

Well, now we got to wait for the third child so I can be the godmother! =) Yes, third child will by my godchild. YAY! I love Mathilde to pieces and now I have Tristan to spoil!

Other than the lovely birth of Tristan…my friends have became incredibly annoying. Thank goodness for Jon and Matt. Who save me from becoming officially insane. I’m fed up with the fact that it’s all about criticizing every action that one does and wanting to become drunk on a weekday, fucking pathetic. Mom says it’s because of my maturity level. I’m 18 and them 17. My uncle said it’s because I started drinking before them…but, I corrected the facts and told him that they have started drinking before me. My best friend introduced me to alcohol during our ski trip.

They also keep on insulting on my lunches. Saying how its not “healthy”, apparently eating a PB&J sandwich is worse than pasta/ham or a grilled cheese. I personally don’t count calories nor compare what is better to this or that. But, I do know that a grilled cheese isn’t better than a PB&J sandwich.

It’s just frustrating. Thank god when they leave next year. I might be friendless but, I’ll no longer have the hassle of putting up with them. This might make me sound anti-social. I honestly don’t care. But, if you were here and spent a day or so with me then you would completely understand.

Thanks to Jon and his morning chats to me before I head off to school, I feel so much better. That is…until I see my friends. I really can’t wait to return to the states. I wish I could return now. =( Anyone want a cool 18 year old who can cook?

Speaking of cooking! I’m making Carbonara (sp?) tomorrow! My first time making it! I’ll try to remember to take a photo of the final outcome of my challenge! Let’s hope I do it well. =P It is for supper. Worst case scenario is my parents throwing it away and going out to eat. =

I would also like to thank ALL my followers and my daily readers and for all the comments. I really do appreciate it. I’m glad you guys like the blog so far! Again, feel free to give me topic ideas and such. Feel free to give constructive criticism.

I’ll leave this post at this.

Questions of the day:

Has/Did it become the point where you try NOT to see your friends because, they are that much a pain in the butt?

Do you like cooking and are you good at it? If not, what else do you like to do?

Yours Truly,

Shana

  1. OoOoO Carbonara ~ Bobby feels like spammi.. uh i mean sharing my recipe and some cooking tips!

Okay maybe u've got ur own recipe so i wont spam that.

Yea so u slice up ur ingredients nice and thin.

Then u need to make sure u saute the onions and the bacon (and mushrooms if u need them)really well, for like 5-8 minutes, until they really brown and become really aromatic. Sauteeing well means u really bring out the flavours of the ingredients. mmm ~ this is the point when u make all the different between a good dish and an.. okay dish. You can add about a teaspoon or 2 sugar halfway thru sauteeing, to help ur bacon and onions brown, bcoz sugar caramelizes :p

After that u add in ur cream and shit (no not literally).. and other stuff u have. Let that simmer for a while to reduce. Then u add in the pasta and lastly salt and pepper.Taste it, before u turn off the stove. Always taste ur food before u serve it to people ;P

And speaking of pasta, one simple rule i found with cooking pasta is , bring ur water to a fierce boil, then add ur spaghetti in, wait for the water to boil again, then start counting 8-9 minutes from there. then drain it out while running with cold water. let excess water drain. and add some olive oil to the paste to keep it nice and smooth ^^

Im THAT bored. Anyway :p Good luck with ur Carbonara =P

  2. well, first of all :p i dont become friends with people if they're a pain in the butt =P i usually am the pain in THEIR butt. anyway.

to be fair :P peanut butter and jelly sandwich doesnt sound like a very healthy lunch to me! XD i always feel the need to have carbs, vege and meat in my meals, or my life wont feel complete :(

so perhaps add some greens and meat to ur meals?:P

grilled cheese - that is just sooooo delicious but yucky with all the fat and calories in that.

pasta/ham - yum but yeah.. fat =P cud do with some vege in it!

    im hungry :(

  3. Aww, poor Shana. XD It's okay, I'm ALWAYS out of the loop when it comes to family events. I happen to be the youngest, and the youngest is ALWAYS told last...or not at all. It's how it's always been, and it's not gonna change. D:

Haha, our morning chats are fun! No need to thank me. ^^ Well, I'm planning on moving out of my house soon, so if I can afford an apartment, you could stay with me, Shana! Your cooking skills and company could really come in handy...We'd just have to get you to California. :D And it wouldn't even be legal for you or me to drink here, so you wouldn't really have to worry about that. :P

My friends aren't usually very annoying...but I've had falling outs with a couple of them recently. Once they start becoming unfriendly, in whatever ways suit you, you talk to them about it...and if they refuse to understand, then you don't need to be around people like that. :-\

I'm probably horrendous at cooking. XD I've never really attempted that much, but I can't see it going very well. I wish I could though. It would save me a lot of money and inconvenience... >_> I'm more of a techie guy. I'll stick with that for now. ^_^

  4. Jon, you may be a good cook, we just don't know yet, you still haven't made that omelette recipe I gave you. ;P

Yes, I love cooking, it's one of my favourite activities/passtimes/hobbies, and my current speciality is either chilli seafood marinara, or sushi, take your pic. :D

Also yes, I've developed a tendency to avoid most of the friends I used to have at school last year, they were more trouble than they were worth. I know, I'm kinda antisocial, but I promise I'm working on it. :|
