Yay for Eminem!
Haha. Okay, so Shana has been gone for about…two days? I’ve been extremely tired (still am) and un-inspired for some reason. I have topic ideas but there is a difference between having ideas and wanting to write about them. =P
Basically, I didn’t get to make my cookies yesterday. I got terribly upset and in a sour mood. I finally got to make them and now I’m in a tired mood but, a good tired. A proud tired now a bad one. You’ll be reading this post “last” per se. But, I’ll be posting about 4 other posts on here today to catch up for the two days missing. =)
Just because I <3 you guys. Now, someone told me to get twitter. But, I don’t see a point in yet because I’m not really getting “business”. If you know what I mean, I might start actually make a few videos in the future if I get more fans in such. So, PLEASE tell others about my blog. I hope to attract A LOT of people in a good way. I’m here to express myself and my daily life but, I also want to make sure you guys enjoy everything too. =)
Now, let us get back to subject. What is the subject of this post? COOOOOOOKIEEEEEEEEES!!!! YAY! Yes, I made 28 delicious cookies! I love baking brownies & cookies. (I prefer baking than actually cooking.) So, I’m going to share my recipe with you and a few photos. Baking isn’t hard. Really anyone can do it. You just have to be somewhat organized and not forget about them baking. ^^
Also, remember I use grams in France so; I’ll use google to translate grams into teaspoons and such for the Americans. My recipe will be once in grams then written again into teaspoons & etc. Because, I don’t know what type of things English people use! =O
Baking Recipe (French Version)
- 80g of butter (melted enough to be mixed),
- 125g of sugar,
- 125g of sugar,
- 2 packs of vanilla sugar,
- 1 egg,
- 150g of flour,
- 150g of flour,
- 100g of chocolate chips,
- 1 teaspoon of milk,
- Mix everything together,
- 1 teaspoon of milk,
- Mix everything together,
- Use a regular spoon to get make cookie balls (haha that sounds wrong) and put it on cooking paper,
- Put them in an oven for 12 minutes at temperature 6 (180°C).
Cookie Recipe (American Version)
- 2 ½ oz of butter,
- 4oz (¼ lb) of Sugar,
- 2 packs of vanilla sugar,
- 1 egg,
- 5oz of flour,
- 3 ½oz of chocolate chips,
- 1 teaspoon of milk,
- Mix everything together,
- Use a regular spoon to get make cookie balls (haha that sounds wrong) and put it on cooking paper,
- Put them in the oven for 12 minutes at 350°f.
Okay, now the recipe (which I corrected a bit), said that the ingredients can make 20 cookies. I’m not saying that it’s lying but, you’d have to make super mini cookies for it to work. I made 13 cookies out of this recipe; 13 good sized cookies.
I doubled the recipe today and I got 28 (I made a few a little too big) but, it’s not bad. It took me 2 hours to make them. (Only have one oven plate to put cookies on). Now, when I say to put the cookies for 12 minutes, then I REALLY mean it. 10 minutes isn’t enough and 15 is way too much. They said 10 to 15 minutes, its 12 minutes. Remember, cookies STILL cook when out of the stove. They cool down and get hard. 12 +3 minutes of cooling = 15 minutes. Perfecto!
I played around with this recipe A LOT. Bobby also gave me advice on how to make them delicious. It’s all about figuring out your own technique. I think the way I do it, is good. Everyone loves my cookies. Another tip is to use cooking chocolate and not chocolate chips. It takes double the work to cut the cookies and such but, they are yummier! (Also, you can save money when you think about it.) I think chocolate chips are overpriced. =(
Now, to show you proof and an estimation of what the cookies should look like in the end. I have some photos to show you the steps. =)
Okay, so here are the ingredients. =)
Here's what the batter SHOULD look like. Of course, I made a few cookies before taking this picture. This is what x1 the recipe looks like. I doubled the recipe so there was A LOT more batter.
Cookie balls! (Haha. Love that sentance. =P)
This is wha they should look like: Brown on the edges and normal in the middle.
What your final outcome should be depending on how many you make. I made 28.
This is my cookie mountain! =)
Okay, so I hoped you guys liked this post and enjoyed reading!
Questions of the day:
Do you like baking? If not, how come?
Are you going to try my recipe?
What's your opinon on men/women baking? Is it only a female thing or can both sexes do it? Without being "gay"?
Yours Truly,
Shana

Do I like baking? Hell yeah, just wait till you try my orange cake, and if you don't eat my sponge cake fast enough, the wind will blow it away. ;P
ReplyDeleteI might try your recipe, but there's a lemon/lime cheesecake that I found in a recipe book that I REALLY have to try first!
As for gender stereotypes for cooking, let me put it this way. I'm in a child studies class with 27 females, no other guys. We have done two cooking practical sessions this year. In both of them, I finished about 30 minutes before everyone else, and spent the rest of the lesson helping everyone else with their cooking.
I will always remember this one group that spent an hour trying to roll sushi to no avail, so they got me to help and I did it in about 2 minutes. Those girls wouldn't talk to me for weeks. >_>
Suffice to say, I can see myself growing up with a family telling everyone that they have NO business in MY kitchen. ^.^
I am male and I studied Culinary Arts for 2 years in college. Now i'm doing a degree in restaurant management.
ReplyDeleteAnd guess what, the top chefs in the world are mostly males =P So it really is quite a masculine job.
As for baking, yeah a lot of females tend to prefer baking, but that does not mean it's only for the females. In actual fact, in all of the pastry kitchens i've worked in, they're usually dominated by male pastry chefs. and there're a lot of female pastry chefs as well =P so yeah :P
So it really doesnt matter what ur gender is. If it is something you enjoy doing, then DO IT :p
I really like cooking i must say, baking and cooking is good fun. I did a foodtech Qualification at AS (English thing) only 2 boys in our class and well the other guy was gay and so am i. But i think that's more due to straight guys fearing to do foodtech not that they don't enjoy cooking. But like what bobby said yea alot of the best chefs in the world are men, however again probably quite easy to assume alot are gay again. but anyway i think anyone can enjoy cooking just depends on your personality
ReplyDeleteI think everyone is just trying to get me fat. -_- Yes, those cookies are oh so tempting, BUT I SHAN'T GIVE IN!
